S.J.'s Adventures
The city of Bridgeport is building a 400 acre OHV Park:
They had a meeting last month and a few clubs in the area attended, including TTR, FWD-FWD and others. The next meeting is Aug 11th from 9a-4p at the property. They are looking for 3-4 members from each club to attend, and help mark the boundaries and clear a perimeter trail.
It’s northwest of Fort Worth just north of 380 up Chico Hwy (101) a short distance. The second entrance already has a sign up. You have to go past it and make a u-turn.
An additional meeting is planned for August 25th. I assume it will be at the same place and time.
Also, Richard Ray with Fox4 News would like to do a show on offroad users building Bridgeport's Park, but they may or may not be there on the 11th. More likely they will want to have some people show up on Tuesday the 14th at a time that is yet to be determined, and basically act like we're doing what we did Saturday. The emphasis will be on how the users volunteer to help build the parks, and help take care of them. It should be a very positive piece as I understand Richard has done similar positive 4x4ing peaces in the past.
