Best use of the Kitchen Aid yet. Sausage Stuffer.

7 pounds of pork shoulder
3 pounds of veal
Some spice
and a black lab as managing the operation.

Had one last night, Damn good.

I will bring some when I can confirm the wrenching day with the female unit.

Will try like hell I have to run around detroit for the day, drive back to lansing to pick up the dogs and then go down to Columbus and wife is sick (flu or something)
Maybe pick up enough brownie points...

Progress on the cruiser tonight! Installed the new front plate.
Got the heater blower motor working. Only one speed though.
Installed the rear drive shaft.
Figured out that my new tailgate plate from CCOT is too wide by about 2 inches. Fawk.

talk at you later turds.

Was gonna offer to help out on these two issues until that last line! :flipoff2: ;p

:D

But if you bring that tailgate panel to the workday I'm sure somebody can get it cut down and welded up for you. Just make sure you measure a couple times so's we can cut it once in the right spot. Or get out the Hilift and start spreadin that tub so the tailgate fits.

Damn Warren, those just made me hungry and it's only 8 am...LOL! I want one. Where did you get it Cabelas?

Well on the tailgate I thought about that, Spreading. But its not just the top edge of the tub, its all the way down. Need to trim off I would say an inch or two. Yeah we can hack it up. not like any thing else on the truck is nice and new. Well except for the carb.

On the Brats. No cabelas. Got the kitchen aid a while back for the wife. Then bought the meat grinder attachment and sausage stuffer from some kitchen place. Like 60 bucks or something.
Got a hank of casings. (Hank is about enough for 25 pounds) for 4 bucks at the butcher. These were Collagen or Synthetic. Pretty nice stuff actually.
Got the meat from Meijer. Two shoulders were 14 bucks. the veal was 12 bucks. So all total 30 bucks or so. for 10 pounds of brats. I had the spices already.

I grilled 4 of them last night. Wow. Pretty good. Not too much fat at all, Just enough to cook off when grilling. Took about 2 hours start to finish. I will do up some chedder brats and some other stuff in a week or so.

On the Fan motor, I am pretty sure its the resistor thats had it. But hey I will take one speed. This goes right along with my plan to have nothing on the truck actually work properly like it should.
