I am sure this has been talked about but searching didn't show anything but I have not had much luck searching.

But since I put the aftermarket 4x4 to 4x2 conversion I have noticed a big increase in brake fade. So didn't know if anyone knew of a aftermarket brake rotors or a conversion to a later model set up.

Thanks

You can convert a 91-92 to the 93-97 larger rotors if you replace the knuckle housing. Basically no extra effort if you do a birf job. It will cost you the price of 2 used knuckle housings from a wrecker (you will need them to include the abs sensors or else fab something to plug the abs sensor hole), plus two new 93-97 rotors (and 2 93-97 calipers I think but I'm not sure). I do not know if the factory alloys from a 91 will fit after the conversion but steel 15" wheels will work for sure. You can then use the 100 series pad upgrade.

I am not convinced that aftermarket rotors are better than oem.

Thanks, sounds like a lot of work for this, I think I will just replace my rotors and pads more often.

Anyone know of a good place to buy slotted rotors, I have used them in the past on other vehicles and they worked well, but you have to buy good quality so they do their job.

Thanks. I may just have to start looking for a wrecked one I can buy to do all this on the next birf rebuild, (just did it 5,000 miles ago).
