Could someone tell me what other TOYOTA wheels will fit on my Landcruiser. I have a BJ74. I have a oprotunity to get a set of Tacoma or FJ wheels with rubber for a great price and would like to keep current wheels just for winter use with snow\ice tires and not have to bother with the mounting balancing charges every year.

Tacoma and FJC wheels will fit but have a fair bit more backspacing so your rig will look narrower. You also may rub the tires on the springs or other protusions in the fender wells. Smaller tires will cause less problems.

I widened my axles by 6" to run the FJC wheels on 37" tires

Heads up. FJ Cruiser wheels will fit and clear tie rod ends but will hit the drag link end when turning right unless you run spacers, the sky kit, or modify your steering (ie SOA kit). Ask me how I figured this out

hey is it the same threading on the FJ VS BJ74? thinking of getting the OEM 5 piece wheel lock set for an FJ and using it on the BJ...

Stud size and pitch is the same 12mm x 1.5 or something I think but the FJ wheels use a shouldered (not tapered) lug nut with washer built in. Vague I know but not really sure how else to explain it. Not sure what type of lugs your rim's require.

did you use 80 series axles??? if so how about som pix of the axles and how you mounted them... I have two 80's and am looking at a 70 to replace my 40... would love the 80 series front into a 70...

thanks

I used 60 series axles and then used IFS hubs for a further 1.5" per side of width.

Bruce, what did you do in lieu of the inner u-bolt? I like the integrated gusset/shock mount. Chevy tapered pitman arm? How about the brake line...did you get rid of the rotor backing plate and bypass the little mount with a braided line? If so, mind if I ask where you sourced the line?

I filled the corner of the perch with about an inch of bar stock and then tapped it right though the housing and used some gr. 8 all thread. Pitman arm is stock but i retapered it. I actually need a flatter one. I did all the front brake stuff in AN fittings. Used adapters at the calipers. There is lots of flexline options then at the speed shops.
