Hey Guys, just joined Yankee Toys in 2013 and had some fun at the Fall Gathering. You might have seen me there in my Blue Fj60. I have been searching around for an affordable place to get some rust repair done on my 60, the rear wheel wells are starting to go. I got a quote from Moe's garage ( who apparently does lots of Land Cruiser work ) up in NH for $7500, he said they would have to paint the whole truck to fix the rust on the back, which is why it would cost so much. I talked with my old body shop back in Pennsylvania who quoted me $3500 for the same thing including the whole repaint, but I really don't want to deal with taking my cruiser the 9 hours to PA if I don't have to. I figure people on here have gone though this same thing before and might know a more affordable option. The paint on the truck is actually quite good other than the rust on the rear wheel wells, seems almost a shame to spend all that money painting the whole thing to fix a few spots. Any insight?? Closer to Boston the better!
