I am building a 78, for a cruiser it has a low amount of rust. I went ahead and got the rear portion new from ironpig but i would like some options on where to replace it or not. I want to fix the rear quarter back to factor/ no flare. I did a spring reversal on the rear so the opening will have to be relocated. should i
1. remove the rear quarter and rear sill and repace. Worried about fit issues.
2. chop up the new steel to repair the old. worried about small rust resurfacing in 6 months or so.
Once I deside, the next question is what to paint/ coat the under body.
The desire is to make it very nice.
