Anyone with experience rebuilding baffles with new foam? If so what type is it? I assume it is the same as that which is used to seal the duct joints.

I just used this based off a post on a hot rod site. Cheap and similar to the original stuff. Frost King Air Conditioner Filters, 15 in. x24 in. x3/16 in. , Open Cell Foam https://a.co/d/idBpKjo

There's other options out there that "may" be better. I'll get links to what I used for the ducts.

Here's what I ordered for the ducts just based on what was originally in them. I'm camping right now and haven't had a chance to check it out yet. MD Building Products 02055 3/16 in. x 3/8 in. x 17 ft. Gray Economy Foam Window Seal for Small Gaps https://a.co/d/3mVuzuN

I used 3M spray adhesive. It's the strong, heat and cold resistant one. I don't remember the number. Just to clarify, spray stuff on the sheet foam.

Also, I found that the adhesive on the strips of weather strip is good for the first application and it fell off when I pulled a section off. So I used Weldwood contact cement in the can. Has a brush in the lid. It's a better long term solution. I just cleaned the plastic well and brushed it on. And brushed it right on top of the adhesive on the foam seal.

I'm not claiming that this is best. I just happen to be in the middle of this on my build and it's what I'm going with.

The old foam washed out with the hose leaving just glue residue. It rubs right off with your fingers when dry. Didn't come off so easy when it was still wet.

I used a 3/8" or 1/2" wide by maybe 3/16" thick closed cell weatherstrip I had on hand for between the three units. Blower/A/C/ Heater box. I think I just got it from Home Depot. It worked but takes more to compress compared to open cell foam.

Thank you for the links! I just ordered it all. Fortunately none of this stuff is expensive. While I was camping this past weekend I had already put in an order for the weldwood spray adhesive and have two different 3m sprays already.

Hopefully those are the last ones. I can see why one would need a 30 amp fuse.... probably still didn't make things work.

Rear slider rehab just about done. No on to headliner.

Nice work. Got a write up on that? My truck needs it for sure.

There could be. If you don't have to replace any of the nylon it is pretty easy. I will gather the info on the weather stripping that is the right size and the glazing I got. But if your glazing is still good and not too hard you can just reverse it and swap to another pane of glass. I did the window tenting before assembly so you have to make sure you put it on the inside when you assemble.

Here is the link to the brush weather seal that fits Amazon.com - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081JXZWT8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
this has peal and stick adhesive on it which you will only use about a half inch of it for two of the runs on each pane to get it to hold in place and not slide out.

also used glazing from www.reflectwindow.com which works however it fits the glass and is somewhat snug it isn't quiet as thick as the original so I only used it in one place where the original glazing was become too inflexible.

Well celebrating the country's Birthday by working on a headliner install. I've also been working on fixing the hvac controls. There was a metal cap missing that I had to replace using a modified brake line.

Could not find a replacement rear seal for a slider window.. the standard seal does not work. So since this one was broken, I cleaned up the edge and glued it back. This glue is amazing. Once I got this installed I decided to quit while I was ahead and relax. I learned about this glue from sixfiveford's youtube channel on repairing the sidewall on an atv tire. Turns out it works. If you look close you can see the repair in the bottom left corner.

Didn't have much time so had to have some quick but necessary wins. Pad installed as well as gauges and gauge surround. Speaker and glove box installed and ductwork completed.

Looks good 👍. I'm doing the same stuff on mine. I'm not a fan of doing dash work.
Thanks. Yeah it isn't nearly as easy as I expected. I spent a lot more time on the wiring harness than I thought would have been possible, and then checking every relay and switch. This particular vehicle was not well cared for but only had the benefit of being from the south and no major rust. Unfortunately it was outside with no windshield for some time so everything had to be checked and most had to be at least cleaned and refurbished. I am going to revisit ac stuff later and move to the engine bay for a bit of a rest from interior.

So one is VERY thin but if I am completely honest, neither is in tip top shape. Looked at the tundra first Gen and Tacoma first Gen bed to frame bolts and did not find anything equivalent. I may have to make some and be glad that no one will be able to see them. Unless someone knows a model vehicle that that the same style bolts.

What are we looking at?
