My iphone 5 will not sync to my bluetooth after I upgraded the software in my phone. I called Toyota and asked about the issue, and they said there is no current resolution. I basically don't have bluetooth till Toyota updates their software.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Can't say that I have recently. When I first got my 2010it was dropping Bluetooth like crazy so I had to drop my phone from the recognized devices list and re acquaint it several times before it started working properly. That was like a year ago though. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

I'm running iOS 6.1.3 on my iPhone 4 and it interfaces perfectly via Bluetooth with my rig.

I did have a problem when I tried to sync a new iPhone 5 last Fall. After a call to the dealership and a few efforts I basically gave up. But, it's been a while and I recently upgraded iOS to 6.1.4. I'll give it a try again based on some other reports in this thread of a successful Bluetooth pairing with an iPhone 5.

I've got a Blackberry Q10 (the new one with a keyboard) and it works perfectly over BT for phone and music.

I've got a potential simple fix for you.

I was having the following problem pairing my iPhone 5 - When I turned on Bluetooth on my iPhone 5 and made it discoverable, then pressed "Register" on the Bluetooth setup on my LC Nav screen, I'd see the connection show up as "1" and "Not Paired" on my iPhone. When I'd press that connection on my phone I wouldn't get prompted for the passcode (typically "1111" by default I think) and I'd see "Bluetooth Connection Failed" on the LC Nav screen.

What I had to do was press "Default" on that Bluetooth setup screen and completely reset the LC back to it's factory Bluetooth condition. After doing this I re-initiated a Bluetooth connection and was successful in pairing the iPhone 5. I knew it was working as soon as the phone prompted me for the passcod which it hadn't been doing previously.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

That worked! Thank you!

Try deleting the phone from the system.

Next, in Bluetooth settings on your phone, tell it to "forget this device" for your Toyota.

Now do a hard rest of your phone (NOT SAME AS POWER DOWN)

Hard reset: Hold the home button AND the power button on your phone simultaneously...for about 10 or 15 seconds...until the screen goes instantly black...and release.

You will now see the Apple logo only...and your phone might take a good while before your welcome screen finally shows up.

Now try running through the pairing routine again.

Just might work.

If this doesn't work...

You can always add Bluetooth via the iTrip device I use in my 2008.
