WOOOOOOOOO
I finally got a GX!!!! Time for an Overland Machine!
Alright, a little back story. I'm 24, been a toyota gear head since I was 16. First car was a rusted out '85 pickup that went anywhere and broke down everywhere. Which taught me how to wrench on cars because I still had to get to work. Fast forward almost ten years and I haven't stopped. I've had Four 1st gen 4runner's I've built up, a volvo (big mistake), ford explorer (big mistake), 2016 Tacoma, '02 Tundra, and '03 4runner V8 which led me to discover this beauty, the GX. "Wait, I can have that V8 and drivetrain... but with a lexus body, OMG."
So let's begin;
Found this high mileage GX in the state over with broken air compressor. Seller just wanted rid of it. Perfect family car it's whole life and the owner felt he got his money's worth, which meant a deal for me. And the birth of Blue Bear.
234k, ML, Nav
, but my favorite interior!
Lowwwwww Riderrrrrrrr.
The 300 mile ride home was brutal. Air bags still had some air in them. But every third bump it would hit the stops...thought I was going to break the axle. Almost pulled over to rent a truck and trailer... But we made it!
So if you've read this far you're probably wondering the name? My past few builds have all been named " " Bear BECAUSE. Big Toyota SUV's lumber through the mountains like a bear on a berry hunt, nothing can stop it! Black Bear was the 4runner, and so on I went....
Big Plans.
