Date: 03/04/2009 strongBLUERIBBON COALITION ACTION ALERT!/strongbr /br /br /br /strongDear BRC Action Alert Subscriber, /strongbr /br /strongBLM Seeks Input On The Draft Timber Mountain Recreation Management Plan EIS/strongbr /br /The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Medford District Office, has released their Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for managing Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) use in the Timber Mountain Recreation Management Area, also commonly referred to as John's Peak. The 15,114-acre Timber Mountain Recreation Management Area is located on BLM-administered lands intermingled with privately owned lands, in Jackson County, southwestern Oregon.br /br /OHV enthusiasts have recreated in this area for over 40 years and OHV use has significantly increased in recent years. The network of trails in the area has developed as a result of many years of OHV use and passive management of the area.
