Here are couple of shots from our trip to Desoto Nat'l forest recently. I took some shots of an interesting looking abandoned gravel quarry because I thought it might be a nice place to do a club ride sometime. The whole place is about the size of 2 football fields and has lot of challenging terrain. I talked with a forest ranger and he said the FS wouldn't bother us because its on private land. There were no posted signs or fences and there were lots of sign of use by 4 wheelers. Its near a nice statepark with a lake and picnic pavilions so it would be ideal for a family type thing.

If/when I ever get my truck running again lets go down. Its only 1.5 hour drive from here. There are also endless trails running off from the FS roads. Great place!

I'd like to get together with you sometime when you run in DeSoto. I live near the Chickasawhay (northern) section of DeSoto National Forest and have hosted trail rides there. If you viewed my post, you may have seen that I will be away until mid-June. I'll check back around that time. I expect to do a trail ride the last weekend in June. I run on Sundays, usually.
