Ok plan is (may change as I go!)
Install
custom 2 1/2" exhaust
Pyro
Boost
Adjust boost and fuel.
This is where I'm at
Shot of the engine bay before I started!
Exhaust flange I made at work from 16mm plate
Removed turbo installed pyro probe and noticed a bit of corrosion on the coolant lines. Ordered some new hoses from Toyota and picked up some new silicon tube and stainless clamps from the local auto shop.
Copied the angle of the bolt pattern of the original dump pipe and welded a 21/2inch nominal bore elbow on, cutting a section out and welding a section in at the side to try an create better exhaust flow. Not sure how much difference it would make?
And then machined the back of it to make sure it was flat after it warped a little when welding.
Installed turbo back on and silicon pipe with the new stainless clamps, was a little harder then expected!
And thats where I'm at. About to get some exhaust flanges cut the source the bends and pipe. 3 or 2 1/2 inch? Thinking smaller 3 probably a little harder to rout. Going straight thru at the moment it's not a daily drive do the noise should not worry me to much.
