BJ73 windshield (1 Viewer)

I am in need of a new windshield for my 1985 BJ73, but am having a difficult time finding a good source in the USA. I know that this has been discussed before but I have not been able to find any recent postings on it. My local Toyota dealer did not seem to cooperative on finding one.

Any suggestions on where to find a windshield for my BJ73 is very much appreciated.

56111-60230 should be the part number for the folding windshield frame 70. I sourced mine from my local Toyota dealership.
Please double check this part # with your dealership or one of the parts gurus.

I bought one from Cruiserparts.net.
Many people have had bad experiences with that company, but I have not yet.

Brian, many thanks for the part number and input. I was under the impression that this could be purchased from a Toyota dealer. My local dealer basically just shrugged me off. I will give this another shot at a different dealer. cheers!

Same here for the most part.
Some dealerships seem to have separate online 'presence" : at least the computer does not scoff at me.

Dealer sourcing would prob be the best way to go. Windshields are fragile and shipping/shippers can be careless.

You're very welcome in regards to the part number. You may want to source a new windshield gasket as well. I don't think that is available through the dealer, I used Partsouq.
My local dealership is pretty good, but I realize that is not always the case. If the dealership will order you one, I would recommend opening the shipping box before leaving the dealer. And drive home carefully...take it from me.

I also recently purchased a windshield through my local dealer (part # 56111-60230) for my 1997 FZJ75 pickup. I also got the weatherstrip, part # 56121-90K01. There is also part # 56121-90K03 which has the small chrome strip in the weatherstrip I believe, but you may want to verify that.

I will go try a different dealer in Boulder today, but I suspect my best option is toyota dealer down in Golden, CO.
