Lighter heats up but not to the glow red it did two weeks ago....Also now when I place phone charger etc into cigarette lighter it won't charge....enough power to heat lighter a little but not to power accessories. Any thoughts......Also anyone know of a shop in or close to Ottawa where I could go to get my electrical(dash) redone or looked at as the prev owner must have done some work himself and it seems a little dicey!

What year truck do you have ? is it a CND (i think it is from your other posts )or JDM unit ?

your lighter should be 24v too but if its had PO wiring you could have anything happening .
I'm not too sure how some of your plug ins are going to like 24v (some dont mind while others will let the magic smoke out)
I'd say its going to need some loving with a VOM and a FSM and wiring diagram.
Ive had mine all apart to fix PO wire nightmares ,got it back to stock then worked from there. I now have a 01 camry am/fm/CD/cass radio with a PIE aux for my Sat Rx. plus a CB .
Once you got it right the next part is to set a plan on what you want so you don't end up with another fire hazard dash BTDT
