Wondering if anyone is familiar w/ a 2000 BJ 2032.It is a Chinese manufactured LC,with an Isuzu 4bt diesel motor. One is available locally and was thinking of buying it for the drive train. Was wondering if the BJ2032 has an offset axle in rear for an easier swap.Wanting to swap motor, trans and transfer in the 55.I only have one s***ty pic to look at so far and it does not show the under carriage. It is a 9 pass. open cab truck, and thats about all I know about it.Thanks for any info

Hi All:

Looks like a Daihatsu (or copy.) Toyota owns part of the company, and they used to sell a rig about the size of a Sukuzi Samurai that had 40 Series styling features (called a Blizzard in Australia.)

I highly doubt the drive train would be a desirable swap into a FJ55.

Regards,

Alan

I've heard good things about the Isuzu 4b motor. The hang up is with the trans adapter,so if this had a trans/transfer w/ offset rear,it would seem to be a great swap.Would probably have to go SOA to clear the oil pan though

According to this:

Beijing Jeep & BAW pickups

It wouldn't be a "Chinese manufactured LC," but otherwise a copy of the old soviet "UAZ." "Uaziks" didn't have an offset rear diff either.

And this picture seems like the diff is on the wrong side:

The only thing you would want out of there is the engine, if it is indeed the isuzu 4bdt. The rest would be obscure and hard to source parts for, not to mention being chinese made crap at its finest.

EDIT:

Well, this is interesting: http://www.gencomineservice.com/book1.pdf

It appears that Genco Mine service has been selling these things for mine usage. Try giving them a call to see what you can find out.
