Binks air compressor (1 Viewer)

Guy has a 3-phase Binks air compressor for sale that interests me. But no such thing at the Binks website that I could find. Did Binks just slap their label on a compressor made by someone else, or . . .?

yes and no

Binks compressors that I am familiar with are Assembled by binks
with thier own tank design and layout.

But the pumps are Quincy. High quality pressure lubricated.
The give a way for you will be the tag on the pump
it will have a model number layed out like this
210-2
310-5
325-25
340-xx
350-xx
If it is a Quincy pump and the tank and motor are in good shape
dont hesistate.
Quality goods arguably the best reciprocating compressor ever made.

binks hasnt assembled units in at least 10yrs

look on the tank for the Asme tag. it will tell you how old the unit is
also of interest is the model number on the pump sticker.
Does it have an oil pressure gage on the back end of the crank?

Since they havent been asssemled like that in lots of years the pump
could possibly not be the original and not a Quincy.

Quincy still makes the good pumps and parts are readily avail.

Dont think going to the Binks web site will do any good as they
dont assemble machines any more/

Well, I went and looked at it and first found out it was not 3 phase. Good. I have a rotary converter but my whole garage is not wired in as many locations as is the 1 phase 220.
It looked intact so I got it for $100. The pump is Quincy. God, what a beast. The whole shebang must weigh 350 lbs. Took four of us to get it into my truck. I won't even begin to explain how I got it out with just my daughter's boyfriend helping. Hope this works out for me. I'll let you know. Thanks dirtsquirt for the insight. Vic
