I double checked and I have the dates right. Tomorrow we're convoying to Round Up 2018. So I made some final preps, bought more beer, more snacks and filled up in diesel.

I keep finding birds nests in the snorkel. Time to wrap it with panty hose.

The bird nesting is funny. Does it not start or do you just check as part of your maintenance cycle?

i was just doing maintenance to go to Round Up 2018. Saw a twig sticking out of the snorkel and decided to investigate. It's not the first time this has happened.

I guess it's update time. Most of you know Round Up 2018 was this weekend. I finally was able to get some offroading out of my system. Having missed last year, this was a very happy occasion for me. I finally managed to get Big Red stuck and nearly flipped over to its side. The guys tell me I had the front passenger tire nearly chest high in the air at one point, but from the inside all I can see was sky. The good news, I never spilled my beer. Here are some pics.

Waiting for the convoy to arrive.

They finally show up.

It was the slowest 2 hour drive I've taken, but it was fun none the less.

Here's the Austin Crew, very 40s heavy

Dave leading the charge in his pristine 40. He'll get bored of it soon and sell her, hopefully I'll have money by then.

Some Jeep Jack Ass who had a very similar license plate to mine. He didn't make it up the rock, but he did try.

I think this is coming down after I nearly rolled. That was at a different location though.

I have a ton more pics and videos, it will take some time to go thru them. In the meanwhile if anyone has any they would like to add, please feel free.

awesome pictures and a good trip.

And hey, I’ve been there too. We had to stop and take a pic on our way to big bend.

After neglecting my motorcycle for a while and focusing on Big Red and other toys, I decided to upgrade and install a fairing with a water proof stereo. It took a few weeks for the order to come in bu here it is.

The wiring took me two tries to get it right, but it was a good learning experience. I did have to drop the fog lights by 1.75 inches so I needed to get spacers from the dealership.

They didn't have spacers, but they had this beauty. But is was too expensive for the value. Plus the wife threatened to kill me if I joked about buying another toy.

Install is done

Neighbors hate me more now. It's got loud pipes with even louder stereo.

I'm expecting other parts for another toy to arrive this week. Big Red might see some action tomorrow if it keeps raining, there are floods everywhere here.

Better go find your Purple Rain soundtrack. :) Not being a bike owner thats what I think people are listening to if they have a radio.

lol, does Here I go Again by White Snake work for you?

Hey, looks like the truck is running well. One day I'll make the drive to Texas to this event.
I think the best part was finally seeing a large group of 40's in their natural habitat. Almost
get the impression everyone is keeping theirs in the garage anymore. Very Cool!! J

Guess where I spotted this beauty.

So I've been driving by this rig for almost a week. It seems abandoned or the owner is underway at sea. There also a grand Wagoneer nearby that looks like it hasn't moved in a long time. But what's more important are what's just across the way from where this black beauty is parked.
That's the Missouri and near her laying under water is the Arizona.
