Any problem's running this size on stock running gear BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2 LT255/80R17, Chart out @ 33.3" looking to buy tires this weekend

I'm running KM2 33's on my FJ a little wider than 255's with no problems at all

You "should" be safe running that size tire. The issues with 33's typically will be width more than the diameter of the 33's. The extra width of a 285/70/17 (11.2" as compared to 10" with the 255) can cause rubbing on the body mount. Without stating the obvious, test fit before leaving, particularly the front, turning lock to lock to ensure clearance of the body mount.

I feel that size tire is the best option for the FJC unless one wishes to invest in a re-gear upgrade.

Worst case would be to have to perform the "body mount chop", which is something I'd do if I planned to wheel it regardless...

I run the 285/70/17 with no rubbing
no lift

Thanks People !
I just ordered the tires will be in a week or two I'm just wherein out the stockers now, and looking for an up grade without busting the budget, 4Wheel parts has em on sale 210.99 each 255/80/17 still $35.00 less than the 285/70/17 have no $$ for a lift and the taller tires should work out with the MT
I'll chop the body mount soon ...

Good price and a great tire. I have them on our FZJ80 and really like them. Just wish they made them in a 35X10.5X16 and I'd be running them on my FJC also...

^^I'm gonna say no...just a guess.
