Best Red

I'm getting around to painting my FJ40 the original Freeborn Red. For the amount of time I've spent on bodywork and such, I want it to look nice, but still be able to handle some AZ pinstriping. Any suggestions on brands, etc would be greatly appreciated.

ya, when it was time for paint i chose the dark honda red and shot it in Dupont chromabase. It came otu really well and the reason alot of painters use chroamabase in my area was because of the eas of spraying it. If i could do it again I would look into spraying it with Spies Hecker. PPG is great, Theres also the new clear that is supposed to be one of the toughest clears on the market right now that was origianlly developed for the new mercedes cars by PPG and its called nanoclear. I have talked to a few guys that have shot it and it was extremely tough when cured. Those are just some choices I looked into after I had mine painted and thought they were a good alternative.

PPG Chromabase mixed as Freeborn Red worked very well for me on a couple of rigs. The red came out really brilliant.
