looks nice and tough, its nice that its not weld on, but that is fairly pricy

I don't think I could ever have too much armor but it is a little pricey. Does it also protect the e-locker? It looks like it would but you can't see it in the picks.

looks pretty well thought out. I know Digger and Addis were scoping out my All-Phase skid in Texas and looking for ways to improve on it. The All-Phase one does its job but the attachment is not well thought out. One of these days...I'll get around to correcting it.

DIgger said that it protects the E locker enough not to worry. Looks like these are selling rather well even though the price is up there. They also fit four runners and they are willing to modify on taco's too.

Here are some pics installed on 2 different rigs..tested at Katempcy this last weekend. Note their other products on the first 2 pics...LCA skids for front and rear CAN not damage them they are massive. Also shock skids which I have installed and cant be hurt.

Here's one with some scratches:yay:

I designed and built this diff skid with a few ideas in mind.

1. Clearance - The other diff skids on the market sacrifice clearance for protection. This diff skid fits flush against the bottom of the rear diff. The only clearance lost is the thickness of the material.

2. Ease of use - Our diff skid is the only one on the market that allows diff fluid servicing without removing the skid. This is accomplished by guarding the factory drain plug standoff with a 1/2" long piece of 3" DOM tubing (1/2" wall). This provides the best protection without sacrificing accessibility.

3. Fail safe attachment system - Our diff skid is mounted under tension and designed to be an integral part of the skid structure. There is no slipping or sliding into the driveshaft or 3rd member yoke. The drain plug stand off does not only protect but also acts as part of the attachment system.

4. Strength - Our diff skid body is made from 1 solid piece of 1/4" HR plate. It is CNC plasma cut and bent to conform to the rear diff of the FJ cruiser. There are 4 seams that are welded inside and out to ensure maximum strength and durability. As mentioned above, it is put on and torqued under tension. This "pre-loads" the diff skid and allows it to also to act as a kind of axle truss to strengthen the interface between the diff housing and the axle housings.

Our goal with our diff skid is to provide the ultimate protection to our customers' FJ Cruisers, piece of mind and allow them to spend more time wheeling rather than doing repairs.

Clear Skies!!!

Digger

Digger, thanks for being willing to crawl under my rig and do install work late at night while at the summit in Ouray. This armor rocks, and I'm glad I got the whole set. Rock solid.

Looking forward to wheeling with you at some point!

WTF I posted something after this and its gone!! WHOOooo mud is fawked up

COsts a little more..more like thousands..and regearing the front...the weight is increased also:lol: for a stock rig this added protection from OSA is worth it.

not bad armor, But this is way better than doubling the weight of a not so strong rear end... but costs just alittle more.

Doubling the weight of the rear end????

You are kidding, right?

The diff skid adds approximately 35 pounds.

As far as the All Pro alternative, it's not the same ball park - hell!! it isnt even the same game....

This is armor for those who cant puke up $2K -$3K for an axle swap.
