Changing out my bell housing. Have to support the engine somehow while
I do it. Jack stand with a large block under the oil pan skid plate is my thought.
Anyone else have an idea?
I'm at the point now where everything is out and the next step is to pull
the bell housing.

use a heavy rachet strap for safety incase the jack wiggles, and you could also put a block of wood between the head and firewall

Do you have a cherry picker you can support the engine with? If not I changed the front tire and rear tire on my bike by using a come along to a rafter in the garage to hold up the handle bars so I could remove all the wheels. Just some thoughts.

Just went with a block and a jack stand.
My B-day today and decided to spend some quality wrenching time
in the shop. Everything went well except for the rear motor mount bolts.
Cotter pins were rusted in the bolts, tried drilling them out and busted
a bit off. Ended up using a grinder to get them. At this point I look like Nate,
covered in dirt and grease. But I have that stupid smile on my face like he
does!
