it is very rare that I have more than 1 passenger with me at any time.
Yesterday I took my parents and my sister into NYC to clean out a passed
aunts apartment. I made sure to tell them all before we left to close the rear
door first. I shouldn't even have to. When I got home and loaded my work
junk back in I found it. Major pissed off. Called all three of them and nobody
had a thing to say. Not so pissed at the dent itself just that three of my own
family members wouldnt own up to it.

So let this be a warning. If you have passengers, remind them abut shutting the
doors properly. I did and it still didnt matter.

Paintless Dent repair should fix it up no problem.

Agreed with rfjtoy...besides it might have truly been an accident. My mother does crap like this all the time....its something that comes with family. Luck on your repair none the less!

It's just an accident, don't worry about it. Stuff happens. Even the Mona Lisa is falling apart...

I think i would be more willing to forgive him/her if whomever would of at least owned up to it. But still these guys are right they are family and you must forgive them, unless your Hungarian like me and you hold a grudge. lol

Kind of reminds me of the time I lent our FJ40 to my parents-in-law.
Got it back a week later to find they had been driving around with the transfer case in 4h.

Of course when I asked them they said they never touched the transfer case shifter. :-(

Upon further investigation I don't believe this happened by the doors being
closed improperly.

I seem to remember my old man getting out of the truck at Giants/Bears game
with no regard for the Winnebago that I was parked next to. I do remember
shouting "hey WTF you doing?", but I never looked at door at the time.

That game sucked, so did the 2 hours it took to get out of the lot. So
I wouldnt be surprised if thats when it occured.
So who really knows. But its a good reminder how thin and weak the door edges
are.

I gave one of my bosses a ride to a meeting and she shut the front door first and then slammed the back door and nothing bad happened. I would have hated to have had to kill her.
