Bamboo kitchen cabinets

Got a quote for some cabinets that was about twice my SWAG. I'm looking for something to compare the quote with. We were quoted on the bamboo option of these cabinets:

we're doing something similiar in a Station remodel, they should be installed in a few weeks, I'll let you know how they are.

Followed by smartass comment about Steve and the fire rating of bamboo cabinets. Seems like if that firehouse knew him they would want something that would be a little harder for him to ignite like concrete.

we're tearing the station down in 3 years and building a new one but the kitchen was shot so we gutted it, we went quasi cheap since we're short termining it, the kitchen has a commercial suppression system in it but not because of me.....lol.

you can get bamboo plywood..... kind of cool looking
