Baja Explore Jan/Feb 2014

I know there was some talk of doing a trip to Baja this winter or next but I'm jumping the gun and heading south about December 13 and will be there until around the end of February or maybe a week or two longer. I'm running with BOHICA (Ken) from ExPo, the guy I ran the Devils Hwy with last winter. Other folks with properly set up trucks would be welcome. You will need a passport to get back in the US. Maybe you could come along JIC a recovery is needed. Could you maybe squeeze a week or two in? Surely you didn't leave all your money in CR. Love to have you along.

Planning on leaving this Friday. Yeh I know it's the 13th , no worries.

I'll be posting a running trip report on ExPo but will try and post here too. It will depend on how good my cell or Wi-Fi is down there.

One thing for sure: no more sub-zero mornings!

Got to sunny and warm Buckeye today. Nice 60F and breezy. Ran through crazy temps yesterday; 7 and foggy near Dewey Bridge then up to 39 near Mexican Hat.

Yuma is not my favorite city but just spent several hours trying to find last minute stuff. Tonight's sunset almost made up for the hassle.

Spent 6 good years of my life there..... Ya gotta know where to go I guess. As with most places, I didn't realize I liked it there til I left.

Now in San Felipe. So far all ok but Gary has engine lights on :-(

Yesterday went paddling and got some time on the fat bike.

Sunset over Bay of Conception and I got briefly detained in the "Tijuana Jail" and Mission San Ignacio. Trip going great so far.
