I am a big fan of the look of baby moons on both cars and trucks. Be it plain black steel wheels or wheels painted to match the body paint.
I have a 1994 FZJ80 and was going to put together a set of plain steel wheels from what I can find in the local salvage yards. Probably some 16x7's from later model Tacomas and/or 4 runners.
Most of these factory steel wheels are pretty standard to run a set of baby moon hubcaps on them aren't they? Looking at the factory spares from these trucks. Seems like they just pop in the center of these rims.
And by 'baby moons' I am refering to any of the small hubcaps that cover the center, not just the smooth chrome ones. We have a 79 ramcharger that has factory baby moons on it and they just pop in like regular hubcaps. They are a bit deeper than smooth baby moons and may need to be to cover the hubs.
Thanks for any input and if you are running baby moons I would love to see some photos.
Thanks.
