Not sure if this has been covered or not. I use my awning on the beach on windy days and came up with what I think is a good solution. Got the idea from the surf rod spike I used to use. This was on a day with winds at about 15 mph with occasional higher gusts. They worked like a charm with no need from guy line spikes.

I'll try this ! I have the ARB awning and awning room. This should work great on sand and earth.

For our RV I had been looking at the Awning Stabilizer from Carefree of Colorado because my RV's awning is an electric Girard with no support poles. The awning is wonderful except when there's even a small bit of wind which causes it to retract.

I use Orange Screws for the beach- large ones for the guy lines and small ones for the base of the legs. The awning will break in the wind before the screws break free. The actual Orange Screw brand seems expensive for something plastic, but they work and last. Friends have not been happy with cheaper knock-offs.
