Gents,
I'm planning on installing a fuel tank from an 82 mini into the passenger side of my truck. The exhaust routing had been worked out and it will be tight, but shouldn't cause a problem. The 82 tank is about 1ft shorter in length than the tacoma tank, so a heavily wrapped mandrel bend will set me up for a heavily wrapped straight shot down the center.
My current issue is the line plumbing. Here's what I think will work...
If I T into the original fill hose, near the top but below the vent, I can essentially pump into the tank from my aux? I would T the aux tank vent into the factory vent and if the tank over fills, it'll just go back down the vent and circulate.
The other thought was too plumb into the original tanks drain valve with a line from the new tank and pump while running the vent hose in a similar fashion.
I plan to use an electric pump made by Ford for their tbi systems. Ive used it on TBI conversions for 350s and on my 22r TBi system.
Does anyone have suggested reading for this?
