Ok, a person I know Is going to give me an 89 camry in exchange for labor. Very nice car with 140k miles. Her friend told her to add oil, and she added it to the transmission. It started slipping in second gear, and sometimes lugs to motor badly. She had the tranny flushed by some guy in his garage. I think he only drained the pan and refilled. The trans is also way over full. Is there any way I can fix the slipping problem, or do I need to replace the tranny? Thanks for any help offered.

I think what I would do is drain, drop pan, replace filter, fill up and hope for the best......
