Auto Glass in/near NYC

Hi NY/NJ/CT people:

I just bought an '03 with an aftermarket windshield that looked good at first but am now concerned about, considering the stories I have heard about mis-installed glass and the issues it causes. I recently drove alone in the car on the highway for the first time, and noticed a lot of wind noise from the windshield that convinced me I need to consider re-doing the windshield.

I am having a hard time finding a good glass shop locally and wondering if anyone has had success. I live in Brooklyn but spend a lot of time in Fairfield County CT and would be happy to travel into upstate NY, CT, or NJ for someone I could trust.

Any suggestions?

I had the same concerns about a bad install. Safelite AutoGlass in Mt kisko knew all about the 100 and they have one tech who does all of them. He doesn't travel and did a great job on my truck. Used the oem rivets and my old trim.

Before bringing it in, Safelite came out to my property and the tech did not have rivets to install the glass as per spec. So he agreed to order them and come back but i started asking about oem glass. I was fine with waiting and he put a request in for oem glass with insurance. Geico did the right thing and paid for the oem glass.
