Auto Carrier information needed (1 Viewer)

Hi! We have a 2007 Hemi Dodge Club Cab that we are going to be towing a 1998 Dodge 1500 pickup on an Auto Carrier. The towing hitch system will go up to 7,000 lbs. The '98 has 2 full doors & a half door (6 ft bed). On Uhaul it only will accept it if it's a regular cab. Do you think we will have any problems towing it on this auto carrier, it's a 10 to 12 hr drive? They won't rent us a car dolly even though we could drop the drive shaft. Also, are you required to stop at all weigh stations?
Thanks for any input you can give us as we need to do this after this weekend!!

I don't know where you will be towing, but between Tx, Nm, Ok, & Colorado I have never stopped at a checkpoint or weigh station. I generally get pulled over at least once per trip for speeding & the troopers have never mentioned weight once.
