I am accustomed from other vehicles to my bike racks wreaking havoc on reverse radar systems but my 250 is now auto-braking and it is super startling.

Anyone know how to disable the brake?

I have that same rack except in silver. Love it!

Anyway, from what I understand, if you hit the "tow/haul" button, it will turn off the rear sensors. I do not have mine yet, that is just what I saw somewhere. Personally, I don't think that is a great, long term solution because that means you'll need to do 1 of 2 things:
  1. Leave tow/haul "on" all the time. I don't think this is a viable solution because I believe the tow/haul mode also changes how your LC drives as a whole. Keeps it in lower gear for longer, etc.
  2. Hit tow/haul when you are backing up and then hit again after you get out of reverse. This would be a huge PITA.

So, if anyone else has a solution other than the above two, we'd love to hear it. Or, if my assumption about tow/haul mode changing the driving "profile" is incorrect, I'd love to be proven wrong.

There MAY be a way to turn off the "emergency braking" via settings in the dash but I don't know yet.

Y’all are awesome. I scrolled through the vehicle settings in the gauge cluster and display for 15 minutes but did not look for a physical button.

What a millennial!😂
