Hey all, I am mainly looking for aussie answers. Firstly , what seats can you put in without getting a mod plate (I am in qld), Can I fit aircon abd power steering from an hj47 into the ute? has anyone done it before?

cheers.

Seats, the standard ones, anything else needs a mod plate. Dunno about the aircon and pwr steer, some of the parts could be used like the engine mounted parts. Havent seen many HJ75 without power steering, 40 series setup is different to 70 series. I am selling a 70 series power steering box if your interested.

Much easier to use steering and aircon from a 75 series.

I just put newly upholstererd seat in my 75 series and it is very comfortable

I'm sure in qld You don't need a mod plate unless you are changing the seat from bench to bucket and they have to be adr approved seats on adjustable rails

I thought you only needed a mod plate if you changed the mounts. If they bolt straight into the old holes you're fine, but I doubt anything but 70 series seats will! If you're old seat is buggered cheapest option will be a rebuild - new and second hand prices are a joke

Google mod-platers and call them to find out the facts. Did that with my new seat-belts and he let me fit them, visual inspection only.
