It's nice to hear them roar after they have been asleep for so long.

I ran mine last night just enjoying the sound of the V8 and looking for leaks. I figured out that if you don't have any gear oil in the transfer case, or all of the bolts connecting it in place, then 90wt from the tranny will punk out the holes.

True True, glad you didn't try moving could have been worse than oil!!!!! We will get them off the road fore long fer sure!!!!

hey guys I'm from sumter. I'm about to purchase a 86 4runner i'm not the 4x4 biggest tech junkie, but really like these older toyota's. how does this one look? 1986 toyota 4runner 4x4 and should I be asking any specific questions when i go look at it ei rust, springs, gear ratios, engine problems to look for on the 22re. Also, once i get it im looking for some places to test it out, know of any around sumter? any helps appreciated thanks

Looks like mine , auto too! It probably has 4.10 gears if its stock. The 22re is pretty reliable even though I blew the one up on mine... Looks good! Good luck. Don't know of any places in Sumter to test it out... but you can join us on our next trip. We're going to Carolina Beach in Oct. for the Lowcountry Boil. Hope you join up and we'll see ya soon.
