Anyone have any suggestions on how to attach a pelican style box to factory roof bars on a ‘13 lx570?

I was thinking I could use the Yakima mighty mounts and then drill holes through the box and secure w screws?

If drilling is an option, which it sounds like it is, i would hunt down a set of factory crossbars that someone took off for an aftermarket rack and drill into that. Although, not sure how strong that would be.

Thinking about it more, i'd drill thru the box and put some big ubolts around the factory rack. Any other attachments you use will raise the box further above the roof.

I've had a Pelican 1650 on my roof for a while now, but i just ratchet strap it as i didn't want to drill holes, and I couldn't come up with a quick release system to allow me to take it on and off at camp.

Maybe look into the way motorcycle side cases attach to a motorcycle for ideas? They often come off fairly easily, and lots of motorcyclists DIY, so I'm sure you can find ideas from that community.
