The average car buyer today visits just one or two dealerships before buying a vehicle. The information came from a published interview with Pat Ryan Jr., CEO of Chicago used-car software supplier Incisent Technologies, and I found it startling.

I visited 3... With the amount of information available over the web, buyers no longer have to guess at invoice pricing and can see real time reviews from others that have purchased the same car and what kind of deal they got. More informed buyers allow us the consumer to shop less because we know more.
