As the title states... Have an ARB combo bar chilling in my garage waiting to go on the truck. I did order fog lights as well but seeing a lot of conflicting reports on whether they're any good.

So the question is, does one leave out that piece or do the Mud 100 series experts find them to be useful? I know the stock ones seem to add usable light. Oh and I will be mounting LED driving lights to said bumper too.

Won't call myself an expert but owned my ARB Sahara bar with fog lights for about 10 yrs and I really like them. I can see they make a difference lighting up the road in the fog and dark rainy nights. I have the stock IPF fog lights that I ordered with the bumper. I know some folks here are starting to convert to LED's which in most cases only Improve the lighting. Love my ARB, it's saved my vehicle from extended body damage on two occasions.

Skip the ARB fogs.

Contact Daniel Stern and order the amber Bosch 100's.

I had this same concern when buying mine. I went ahead and got the fogs since they are made specifically to fit in the bumper. I just ordered some expensive sylvania replacement bulbs, but even the ones that come with it put out decent light. The cutoff is nice and clean too.

They're not great but they are much better than the stockers, at least when new. Now I have them in there I'll probably stick with them untill I have a problem and then retro some LED and/or projectors in there. My thoughts were that I had them on hand already, the wiring is already there, and even though everyone complains about the stock fogs I still used them a lot and felt they had some value, I wasn't going to reduce front end light output and didn't have anything else ready to go in. As long as you have them I would throw them in.

Please do expand on this!

I have purchased from him before and would love to see what your talking about.

He is well respected and knows his stuff.

The fogs on the ARB are bright make the look of the ARB bumper in my opinion but the quality leaves a lot to be desired, they are not water proof not even water resistant. Lightest rain makes condensation inside the light. Having said that I would not buy one or have one with out them on or some other type of fog I think it "completes" the ARB look. Also Labrack has a LED version of the insert that is a direct fit. (not that I would buy from labrack)

The ARB inserts are crap and the lights are on par with that.

I upgraded to the labrak. 1000x better product with steel inserts and Led signal lights.

Some people have some past history with Shane, but I had a really good transaction.
