G'day fellas,

I got about a gallon of UPol Raptor bedliner ( 4 x 250ml cans) and a shultz gun. you chuck a bit of hardener into one of the cans, screw it on to the gun and spray away.

All sounds good, except...

I gotta do this in the driveway. It gets better. The :princess: has just had the garden redone and the front of the house repainted. I cannot get any bedliner on the drive, house or plants otherwise my 80 is going to have an ex-owner:crybaby:
I was planning on driving the truck onto a dropsheet and masking the truck pretty well.
How much over spray occurs when you spray this bedliner stuff? I'm thinking when you get to the end of a side you must shoot some of it into the air.
Am I better mixing the hardener and liner, then pouring out and rolling it on?
I was hoping by spraying I'd get a smoother finish, but can I get a similar effect using a foam roller or something else?

The drives not big. If I park the truck in the middle I've probably got 3ft around each side before either the plants or the house starts.

I suppose I could knock together a timber frame and use some plastic sheeting to form a sort of booth. Seems a bit drastic though.

thanks in advance

I sprayed my bedliner in the garage. The s*** gets everywhere. If you have a :princess: that is gonna get cranky. You better roll it on.

Thanks mate. Kinda what I figured would be the case.
Shame I don't get to play at paint spraying, but on the plus side the masking should be easier.

Yeah, took Mon/Tues off work and did it. Came out pretty good, even the :princess: thought it looked great!!!
Had a small issue with the drop sheet getting blown up and sticking to the second coat on one of the fenders. Bit of a frantic time trying to roller some rapidly hardening liner over the big mark. I can see where its happened esp in the sun, which is a little annoying, but I'm sure once its been wheeling I'll never think about it again.

As long as the:princess: is happy, we're happy:cheers:
