Hey guys! I had an idea and wanted to share it with everyone. I rode up to windrock last Wednesday and rode trails 22 and 4. Along the way I would stop and pick up some trash, and there was quite a bit of it! I almost filled up 2 bags in a couple of hours.
I've been thinking about this for some time now, and wanted to see who else was interested in helping to keep our off road parks clean. With windrock being in most of the guys in the clubs backyard I figured we have a great place to start.
I'm going to start putting a date up each month on this thread letting everyone know what day I will be going up. More than likely it'll be one Saturday a month. We could start out early, ride a couple of trails, and fill up a couple bags of trash each. Then why not spend the rest of the day riding and enjoying the beautiful trails of that mountain"I mean were already up there, might as well have a little fun too"!
I spoke with one of the ladies that runs the front office at windrock. She informed me that if a person works two events out of the year then they receive an annual pass at no cost. She told me she didn't see why that also couldn't be done for the people that are helping to keep the park clean! So I will keep in touch with her and hopefully we may be able to get some annual passes out of this deal for the guys that help out.
Let me know if you all would be interested in this. Here's a few pictures from last Wednesdays ride!
Hopefully we can get some people on board with this! I want to continue riding these trails as long as I can, and this would be a great way to help and preserve them.
