Just want to throw this out there, me and Shawn talked about it at the last meeting for just a little bit. I want to do a big pig roast at my house and invite all of the AC members to come out. Was wondering how many AC Members there are and if Rance has contact info for them. Would love to see every registered member come out and be a part of this great club. Trying to pick a good day on weekend where everyone could come. Maybe when it starts cooling down. Trying to go ahead and plan in advance. Dont know if Jordan and his band members would play for free, maybe free beer, but think that it would be awesome. Plenty of room for everyones trucks and maybe even camp out from Saturday to Sunday morning. Let me know what everyone thinks and I will start planning.

Would like to make this a yearly event. Can we get a poll going on what kind of beer we can get in a keg that everyone can enjoy. I think I can get a huge smoker that will do a whole pig. I will set up the keg and other things as they come up. Let me know what you think.

Count the Sharps in. I've got everyone's contact information. We will talk about at this months meeting.

Cold works for me. :) This sounds like a great idea.

Great idea Ryan. And annual would be sweet too. Count me in. I'm not too picky about the beer. We can get a list of beer options and take a vote.

Sounds great! Could turn this into THE annual meeting. Maybe work on getting a small raffle together.

I'm all in for a pig roast. Will be glad to help roast the pig also.

I'm thinking Sept. 27th would be a good day. An alternate day would be Oct. 18th. Trying to work around my days off and UT Football season, as I know a few of you may be going to games and such. October would probably be cooler weather.

I'd be in Ryan, willing to help any way I can.

Between here and there

Sounds good Jason, I'll let you know if anything comes up. It would be a long drive for you, but come on up and hang out with us.

Ryan everywhere I go is a long drive for me.

I've got a spit, motor, etc that will cook about a 100 lb pig if that's the route you want to go.

Either of those dates works for me. Don't know if it makes an impact but hopefully some of us (whoever wants to go) will be in Harlan the weekend of Sep 20th for some great 4wheeling.

I guess being a truck driver, you are use to long drives!!!

Not sure right now, but I sounds like a good route to take

Well, the two dates that I put up are not going to be good ones for me. This is due to my obligation to the Air Force and doing my monthly Guard Drill. That and UT football season. So here is the new date that is a bye week for the Vols, November 8th. Its a little far out but it should be nice and cool.

There are some problems with the Nov. 8th date now. Corey will be out on this date, and it wouldn't be a party with out Corey. Hope to have a better date coming soon.

Okay, looks like the date is going to be October 11th.This is a UT home game and they are playing Chattanooga. I'm thinking of renting a tent large enough for about 50 people, and getting some tables and chairs from the church. I will cover that and the pig, donations are welcome to repay me (lol). Depending if there are enough club funds, would it be okay to use that for the keg. If the AC staff approves it. Also, this will be bring a coverd dish of what ever else you would like to eat. I can provide some and a few bags of chips. This is a bring your entire family get together not just our wheeling family. Hope to have some good numbers of who is coming in the next month or so. Let me know if this sounds good or not.

Sounds good Ryan. I'll get it on our calendar so Erin won't pick up a shift that night. I don't know if her and Quinn will camp out or head back home. Jack and I will def. camp out. I love the idea of this becoming an annual gig. Could be our annual "meeting" and a good time/reminder for club dues. Your place will be perfect. And thanks a ton for hosting. Will be kewl to see the trucks lined up alongside the driveway. Hopefully we'll need the panoramic cam to get all of the trucks in one shot. Maybe Vic can even make it!!! (Had to take stab atcha, hopefully it's motivational.) Looking forward to everyone coming out with the families and getting to know everyone. Need to get the kids acquainted so they're ready for GSMTR next year. Heck, we could have 50 AC peeps at GSMTR next year. I'll bring my camera and tripod to the "smoke out" so we can get everyone in the pic in front of the rigs.

Nice jab Andy. As luck would have it, we've got some reservations in the GSM that weekend; however, my ass is flexible enough to explore other options if you get Old Blue up and running to bring it to the show.....No pressure! We'll see how it all unfolds. Perhaps something as simple as a cooler for me to throw in the fire will get me at the roast. Either way, Appalachia is more than welcome to use my pig roaster (electricity required).
