Anyone want to trade stock springs and shocks for my lift springs and shocks?

Hello,

As I continue to sort out my new land cruiser I'll likely have quite a few upgraded parts to trade (or sell) for stock ones. Right now I'm looking to trade my Rancho RS5000 shocks and Rancho 43133 leaf springs. The ad for the land cruiser said that these were "new". They are in very good condition but the light surface rust says they are not new. This trade includes lift shackles as well! I'm hoping someone has some stock height suspension in good or great condition to trade, or I guess to sell to me assuming I can sell this to someone else.

I'm really into the stock dimensions of FJ40s so I'm trying to get this one back.

p.s. I also have an aftermarket roll cage I will sell to someone if they are interested (it is slightly too big if you run a hard top)

p.p.s. I also have a sheet metal divider that goes between the trunk and the seats with two speakers in boxes mounted to it if someone is also interested!

Stock springs

Good day Bujbot,

congratulations on your Arizona Cruiser. I have some stock springs sitting around, actually two sets one with shocks if I ever get around to installing my TPI lift kit. I Think they're in ok condition but I would have to examine them closely to be sure. My 40 is a 03/1979 and the spare set came with it so hopefully should be the same size. I don't need another lift but would trade for something or sell, wouldn't be looking for much. I am however about 4 hours away, in Perth. Good luck.

Now I believe I would need to make new bushings because mine cruiser is pre 1979. Maybe someone could confirm that for me?

Also, maybe someone knows if I would need new shocks if I change the springs. I'm not sure if the drop in lift would be significant enough to require new springs.

I just checked my spare springs and they are pitted on the bottom exposed surfaces, more then I would would like if it was me redoing my suspension. If you you still would like some pictures I can take some and send them along. ledrewr@gmail.com
