Just curious, has anyone here ever upgraded to a TRD brake kit? I'll admit, as poser as it might be, I love the way the red calipers look.

I don't really have any "need" per say for this, but dang it looks cool. I'm not even sure if it will fit the 200, but I'm really curious to see.

Ehh, I might scratch that. Looks like they only fit the 20" wheels, and are crazy expensive.

Yeah, I saw that they have the pads too, and they fit the stock calipers. Let us know if you can tell any difference.

Curious -- any update on the TRD pads?

The TRD pads in 5K miles have warped a set of Centric brake rotors. They stop great, but are dirty and seem to be hard on the rotors. I do tow a 21 foot boat and commute in DC traffic, so I am not easy on the brakes.

If you like red, your stock calipers can be powder coated. They are a nice 4 pot and will look great behind the wheels. If you ever find yourself needing more braking, there are options.

I tow a 5000# travel trailer, so if you have recommendations on brake upgrades I would really appreciate them

I have Brian Jowett's #bjowett Tundra Brake upgrade. I tow a 25 Grady White that's about 6,000lbs dry plus trailer. I used the centric ceramic pads which are not dusty and the setup has been great. Before installing I PCed the calipers black. No bling necessary on a LC.
