I want to run a light truck tire on my 100. But I'm afraid to step up to a 285/75. Anyone running the 265/75? Words of wisdom?
Too skinny? Thinking of the Revo in a D load range....
Thanks -- Doss

Why are you afraid to go to 285/75 ?
I'm running them (BFG AT/KO) with no rubbing at all and no noticeable power losss.
I did consider the Revos, which are probably better on road and not as good off road, Revos "look" skinnier when comparing same size tires. Even though I have not seen a LC100 with them I think they will look skinny.
If you do not want to go 285/75, stay with 275/70, I think they will look better.

265/75 R16 are to thin. Step up and get the 285's or at least stick with the 275's.

I live at 4000 feet and drive up to 10,000' all the time. If I knew for sure that the 285s weren't going to kill my power at altitude I'd go for them (see my other posts). If it was just a little more sluggish/shower I'd go big -- but I'm afraid that I'll end up with a dog. Perhaps this is left over from my FJ62 days -- when I went up to 31's I really pooched myself on the hills. Wisdom is welcome -- thanks -- Doss

ok, it will affect your power. The tires are bigger and weight more. I would suggest a supercharger and 285's. :D

On the bfg at size chart the 265's are 31.8 tall and 10.5 wide and the 275's are 31.3 tall and 11.0 wide. Not that bif of difference.

In your situation, I would go with the revo and the 265's unless of course you are stepping up to a $4k supercharger. The revo will help on the road more because it has a less aggressive pattern.

It will never be like the 62. Hell I had a '91 fj80 and you talk about slow with 31's. It was a sad day when I would drive up to the mountains of NC and get passed by bicyclers.

I am using the 265/75 on my 80 and they work fine. Next time I am going 285/75.

They will work fine plus they will work better in the snow.
