I have a family friend who is considering selling his 100 to me. I would love to have someone who knows 100s well come take a look with me - either tomorrow or Saturday.

Saturday may be possible. PM inbound.

If you're looking for a pre-purchase inspection, obviously Peterson or Tom Scott are possibilities. LTS near Emerald is very highly recommended. Heritage Auto in Meridian would also be a possibility.

100-Series

Hi. My name is Shane and I live in Eagle. I would take it Brian Krah at BK Industries (look em up). He is Toyota master certified at half the shop rate of the dealerships. He'll do 'ya right. I am driving the 100 series now and it's a fantastic rig. Try to find one with AHC (adjustable height control). It's really a great feature if you will do any towing at all.

I bought mine in Boise last spring. Conundrum on here (I knew him from another non-car-related forum as well) was helpful and sent me to http://www.ltsmotors.com for my inspection. I was impressed with these guys. They are LC specialists and I'd highly recommend. They took their time, showed me everything as they went through the car and answered many questions.

Homework...

Check http://www.sleeoffroad.com/newbie/newbieUZJ100.html

Also, check the FAQ's here relative to the 100 series...that should keep you out of trouble for a day or two.;)

Try to find out if the periodic service has been done on the timing belt and water pump. Toy recommends every 90K miles. It's about $1k or so in this area.

I'm still available Saturday or Sunday pm if you need me.
