Hey guys, I generally just creep through here, but I figured I'd ask because I'm running out of options. This is kind of a long shot, but does anyone have any connections to the Ft. Payne/Boaz area. Some nice fella up there fleeced me on a hundy a few months back. It has a really nice paint job, clean leather, and new gauge cluster with an odo that read 75k miles. Pulled the carfax a week later that last reported mileage at 283k in 2013. Guys name was Randy Moore but he sold it to me as the guy he bought it from a few weeks prior in Atlanta. Just seeing if anyone might have an idea how to go about pursuing this too. Dekalb county investigator can't find the guy. I've had a lawyer send a letter to his old address but no response. Also, the guy he got it from signed the buyer line on the title so the dmv won't even let me register it. Any ideas as to how to approach that seperate issue? Everyone a the dmv here said the previous owner needed to get a new title but that seems absurd. Any tips would be appreciated. (insert ad for Carfax)
