anyone else a long time Lowcountry early season hunter?

Well, deer season opens again on 15 August as it has my entire life...as I get older I start saying I wont be out until September when I can shoot does...but every year I go anyhow.

yes is hot, humid, bugs, snakes and down right miserable...but what is in the early season that you cant get a month later?

This.....who else will be taking off work and in the woods sometime during the 15-19 Aug for opening weekend?

nice...i didnt go at all last year. spent all my weekends on the boat or toyota...

hopefully this year i will get to set a few times at my neighbor's property.

There is a stand hunting club in Ridgeville looking for members...they have a officer on the SC Outdoors Forum....and you can find some others by asking around.

For public land...I always had good luck at Hell Hole Swamp in Francis Marion and down at Donnelly for archery only.

Most clubs are set by now as season opens in 10 days...
