Anybody running morimoto 2stroke 2.0 Leds for their low beams?

Been diving deep into a rabbit hole trying to decide what new headlight bulbs to get for my main low beam h11s. I got a cheaper pair of hikari 6000k leds, and theyre definitely brighter but honestly I’m not super impressed and they are a bit too blue for my taste. I’ve heard decent things about the morimoto 2stroke 2.0 leds and was wondering if anyone here has them in their GX. My main concern is they will also be a bit on the blue side as they are 5800K I believe. The other option is to get morimoto XB 4500K HIDs with a more affordable 35W ballast. Im just concerned about all the headaches HID kits seem to cause. Any insight here is greatly appreciated!

I just ordered the GTR 2 LED's. I was going to go with the morimoto but decided to spend the extra money. I will let you know what I think about them when I try them.

I have been running the gtr ultra 2 led for a few months now and am really impressed. I love them so much I ordered high beams over the weekend to match. I put them in ny new sport headlights and the cutoff and light output are perfect.

I'm not sure what headaches you've heard about the HID kits (other than the price!), but I absolutely love the kit I got from Xenon Depot. Install was a breeze, and the light output is so much better than the halogen bulbs. My GF lives in very rural GA. So i do a ton of driving on pitch black country roads, and I don't have to leave my high beams on after the HID install.

Cant speak for HID kits other than the one from Xenon Depot, but theirs was damn near plug n' play.

I've done the HID thing with my 3rd gen 4runner and loved them. I had the morimoto and did the retrofit. If I hadn't paid 199 for the gtr ultra 2 I would definitely have gone the HID route.

I do not know enough about headlights or how retrofits work, but I do know that the lights sold by places like bxbuilt.com are gorgeous. If i had the coin, i may have went with a retrofit like that, but for $300 i don't think i could have found a simpler option with the light output I got from an HID kit.

I bought the bx built foglights for my gx, just waiting on them to get here so I can test them.

Please let us know how they are. I’ve been debating between diode dynamics SS3 and those bx built ones. I just honestly hate how the GX470s look with the stock fogs removed, otherwise I’d probably just get the SS3’s.
