anybody done this yet?

I am just wondering where someone has put the mic, speaker and keypad.

If nobody, I'll post pics as I am doing mine. I plan on putting the speaker in the overhead console where my garage door opener used to go, and the little oval keypad over the rectangle blank right of the defrost button.

I have just missed too many calls and fumbled with my phone too much while driving, figured it would be worth the $

where did you get the kit? $?

I bought it through a distributor that sells car audio accessories (aamp of america/ stinger), I think they have paired up with motorola to produce them, it is really new.

Everything in the kit has motorola on it.
Looks really nice. basically like "old" hands free kits, except it has a tiny 5 button keypad to accept calls, initiate calls, and a voice system to make calls.

It just recognizes your phone, even if it is just in your pocket, once the ignition is turned on.

I've just recently obtained the bluetooth earpiece for my phone and love it. It works really well and people can't even tell your talking on a wireless piece, if the car kit works as well as the earpiece I'm sure you will be pleased.

I'll post pics etc.. after I install it. probably a few weeks at least.

you did read how it's possible to get a computer virus via the BT in the LC? :D

Is that a joke?

I don't get it.

no / I don't know
supposedly it is possible for a truck computer system to catch a virus through bluethooth since many are based on a Windows OS

Holy cow that kit is a little pricey, I only paid $200 for mine.

In my case, the only thing the bluetooth module will be hooked up to will be a power source and ground, so I think a virus in the truck computer would be impossible.

Maybe the newer LC's have built in bluetooth and that may be an issue?
