Any way to tell 98-02 LCs apart

Just wondering. Do all 98-02 LCs have the same exterior features? I know the front grill changed in 03, but wonder if there are differences in badging or in the exterior equipment. Did some early years not have the rear vent windows? My 98 4runner differed from the 97 and 99-02 in badging (location of "Toyota" and 4Runner" on the back hatch). Thanks for your input.

Actually, what I was wondering about was whether there was any way to differentiate an 00 from say an 02 just by looking at the exterior. Are there no differences in the exterior from year to year?

If you read the sleeoffroad site that was posted, it covers exterior changes.

It's mostly going to be wheels and the rear emblems.

98 & 99 mostly came with 16" wheels, then they progressively got bigger.

think the wheels and emblems stayed the same thru at least 2001
