So im putting an auxilliary tank into my fj45 troopie - i have already made the main body of the tank [same style as the 'long ranger'] which will fit above and beside the rear drive shaft - but im wondering what kind of ports i should make room for on the top of it - so far i have the sender installed - the filler neck in [i split the filler neck to allow filling of both tanks through the one nozzle] and a breather tube leading into the factory tank to allow for fuel expansion. i also have led one fuel line from the bottom of the tank to an in-line switch valve to manually switch from one tank to the other - via the underside of the car...

it is made of MS steel - base coated and painted...

is there anything i am forgetting?

Ian- Wow! A big job, for sure. Sounds neat. I'd check out the arrangement for an FJZ80 or a 100 aux tank, and match the hoses for one of them. Sorry I don't have a better idea. Where in Oman are you? I haven't seen any 45 Troopies over here, only 70's style, but I'm hoping to buy an FJ45 p/u. :cheers:Ned

Hey - im in Sur...on the east coast...troopies are also wicked rare here...i have the only one i've seen...i heard of another one that was for sale - but whoever bought it cut the top off to make it a pick-up...bastards...there are still plenty of p/u's here - but the quality is dwindling quickly - good thing tho, is that labor is still a steal - so you could have one completely rebuilt for next to nothing...all LC parts here btw - go to Sharja, just outside Dubai...
