I have a 1982 that I got a couple months ago. The smog equipment was cut out and it had a gm carb on it. I've put a stock carb on and fixed a few other things. I can't get it to run. The fuel pump doesn't seem to be working. I replaced it yesterday and if I switch the feed and return lines, try it, switch them back, try again it will fire for a few seconds then it runs out of gas and dies.
Also I took the air rail off since it wasn't hooked up. What can I use to plug the holes? I got caps for the nipples that are in there but one of them broke off and I can't find a tube that will screw into the hole in the motor.
If anyone is near me would they be willing to stop by and take a look at my cruiser and maybe teach me a few things about it. I'm completely lost once the hood is opened.
